Interview with Linda Le Bon: Insights into barrier-free travel from the perspective of a blind traveler

A conversation about mental barriers, real obstacles and solutions to enable barrier-free travel. Linda tells us how they are perceived by a blind woman.

Vera Thaler: You prefer to go out with your guide dog Buddy. How do you experience being on the road as a blind woman and what hurdles do you have to overcome?

Linda Le Bon: A big barrier to getting to the starting point of a tour is public transport. I try to find out as much as I can beforehand. I have to ask a lot of questions along the way. Train stations, for example, are not barrier-free, especially not for blind people: display boards are far too high, train connections are not announced.
