The editor Nicole Hettegger interviewed me and asked me questions about sport, my goals and challenges:
Linda Le Bon recently won her first World Cup gold medal in paraclimbing. In an interview with MeinBezirk she gives insights into her training and her career path.
MÜHLBACH. Linda Le Bon was born in Belgium and moved to Mühlbach with her family in 2010 because of her love of skiing. When she lost her sight ten years ago due to a disease of the center of her retina, a lot changed in her life. But one thing has remained the same: her passion for sport.
MeinBezirk: How did you get into climbing?
Linda Le Bon: I used to climb, but that was before I had children. I got into paraclimbing quite by chance through an advertised project. At the time, I thought to myself: “If paraskiing works with an announcer, then climbing will too.” I then made great progress in training in a short time and finally passed the entrance exam for the national squad in March 2023.
