At the IFSC Welcup in Arco I was able to celebrate my second World Cup victory, which I was incredibly happy about, especially after the disappointment at the European Championships in Villars.

Le Bon takes second World Cup victory in 2024
Linda Le Bon was also able to confirm her strong performance from the qualification in the final of the B2 category and took victory in Arco with a respectable lead and 41 holds. The German Ivon Lawerenz followed with 36 holds. Austria’s second representative, Edith Scheinecker, completed the top three with 36 holds. “I have never climbed a route like the one on the speed wall today. It was very technical and balance played a big role. It was a big challenge and really very unusual. I’m very happy that I withstood the pressure and got the win today – it was my second win this year. The collaboration with Marco (note: Lamprecht, guide) worked really well. We communicated really well. It started well in the qualification and it was almost perfect in the final. A great end to the season for me,” says Le Bon, who will undergo knee surgery at the end of October. “I’m confident that things will get better soon. My doctor said I would be able to climb again a month later. In the meantime, I will train my upper body properly so that I can be fully fit again next year.”
